Wales, Europe and the World (WEW) enables learners to develop their understanding of life in Wales, the UK, Europe and it’s place in the world.

Our Window on Wales qualifications support the Welsh Government’s Wales, Europe and the World: a framework for 14 to 19-year-old learners in Wales.

The qualifications support young people’s learning across the political, social, economic and cultural elements within the framework.

Through the qualifications learners will be able to:

  • understand how their lives are part of a local and global picture enabling them to know how political issues affect them
  • make changes to improve the lives of others
  • understand the effects of poverty and how wealth is created
  • take part in cultural activities.
