Assessors

An assessor must have:

• good knowledge and understanding of Agored Cymru's units and qualifications
• a good understanding of the level of the unit(s)/qualification(s) being delivered
• subject specific knowledge and/or experience of the course being assessed
• knowledge and understanding of Agored Cymru's assessment requirements

Assessors are not required to hold a formal assessment qualification to assess Agored Cymru's  units and/or qualifications, unless stated in the qualification guide or unit specification.

However, it is good practice for all assessors achieve a formal qualification.

Introduction to Assessment Training

This is a one-day course is suitable for assessors who have little or no prior experience of assessment or, for those who wish to refresh their knowledge and skills.
