This page contains information on Agored Cymru standard fees and charges for 2023 - 2024. It lists all fees relating to Qualifications Wales, Ofqual and the Quality Assurance Agency (QAA) regulated qualifications and unregulated provision. The fees and charges published in this page are effective from 1 August 2023 to 31 July 2024 and are accurate at the time of publication. It is the responsibility of the approved centre to ensure the most up-todate version of this information is in use. In the event of non-payment of accounts Agored Cymru reserves the right to suspend registrations and withdraw centre approval.
Agored Cymru is a registered charity whose mission is to enable individuals achieve the skills and qualifications they need to maximise their potential, enrich their lives and to contribute to their communities and a strong economy. Our fees and charges are not subject to VAT.
Standard Centre Fees
Approval Fees for new centres | |
At point of application- Includes evaluation of the centre’s ability to deliver Agored Cymru regulated and or unregulated provision. The application fee is nonrefundable in the event a centre withdraws its application or has its application refused. | £270 |
Upon final approval – Additional charges may be applied where further support from Agored Cymru is required to achieve compliance These charges are instead of the annual fee for approved centres in the first year of working with us. | £530 |

The annual fee is chargeable to all approved centres. This allows centres to:

Learner Related Charges | |
Individual credits will be invoiced at the point of award unless otherwise stated | £3.50 |

Late Registration Fees (per learner) | |
Learners must be registered as follows to avoid late fees: within 25 working days from the start date of courses of 15 weeks or less; within 40 working days from the start of courses of more than 15 weeks | £20 |
Late submission of claims for Awards (per submission) | |
A submission is late if it is received more than 6 months (182 days) after the end date of the class. | £20 |

Access to Higher Education

Additional Training/Events | |
All other Training and CPD events will be charged at the advertised rate All training charges will be payable prior to the event to avoid disputes over cancellations or substitutions. |

Cancellation Fees | |
Minimum charge of £50 per delegate for non-attendance at any free event. There will be no refund where courses are charged for but nominating an alternative attendee can be accommodated. Attendees will receive a 50% refund when a full cancellation is made no later than 10 working days prior to the event. There will be no refunds where a full cancellation is received less than 10 working days prior to the event, or for non-attendance. |
Circumstances may arise that result in the need to cancel, reschedule or postpone an event, due to an unforeseen occurrence. Agored Cymru reserves the right to cancel courses when unforeseen circumstances arise. this circumstance. All delegates will be refunded or reallocated a place on a rescheduled event |
