Shirley Hudson

Shirley joined Agored Cymru team in 2014 as an associate member of staff before becoming Curriculum Development Officer.

Shirley has extensive experience of teaching and training in the post-16 education sector - Adult and Community Learning, Further Education and Work Based Learning. She has taught and organised support for learners studying on pre-entry level to level 3 programmes e.g. essential skills, life skills and employability, and has had responsibility for internal quality assurance, coordinating learning support provision and developing practitioner training.

Inspired through partnership working, Shirley is an active member of the ColegauCymru Essential Skills and Additional Learning Needs Managers’ Networks; she is also a founder member of the Essential Skills Panel for Wales.
She has specialist teaching and learner support qualifications and has received a NIACE Inspire Tutor of the Year Award for her work in Adult Basic Education.

Shirley is widely known and respected throughout Wales for her work within essential skills.
