Ros Protheroe

Ros has worked in the Work based Learning sector for 19 years.

She started out as an as an IT tutor helping adults back into work, gaining her PGCE in Post Compulsory Education and Training in 2005. Since then she has had roles including Lead IT trainer, Internal Verifier, Quality Manager and Senior Quality Manager. For many years she held the role of Staff Learning & Development Manager at one of Wales’ largest work based learning providers, designing and co-ordinating development activities for over 300 staff, focussing on creative and innovative teaching, learning and assessment.

In August 2016, Ros launched Panda Education & Training with her business partner and former colleague, Rachel Arnold in order to provide high quality professional development for vocational practitioners. Ros’ main passion and focus is ensuring vocational educators have the right support to deliver the best, most innovative and creative training possible.  She is currently undertaking a Masters in Education where she is researching the impact of observations on the quality of teaching.
