Clare Llewellyn

Clare joined Agored Cymru in 2017 as an Associate member after spending many years delivering training and assessing a wide variety of accredited courses across both the public and third sector.

After graduating from Swansea University Clare worked in Human Resources in London, before returning to South Wales, working in further HR roles before embarking on a career in education and lifelong learning.

After completing her PGCE Clare worked for over 9 years as a lecturer in Coleg Morgannwg, delivering and assessing a broad range of basic skills and employability courses to adults within the college and also targeting people from socially disadvantaged backgrounds, by providing sessions in community venues across Rhondda Cynon Taf. Clare also delivered and assessed Basic Skills practitioner training for external organisations.

Clare spent time as a Family Learning Tutor for Rhondda Cynon Taf County Borough Council before gaining experience within the third sector, firstly with Gingerbread, where she focused on community engagement and delivering accredited courses to single parents. She spent some time with the Prince’s Trust working with the Executive Management Team, before returning to education and training, designing and delivering quality improvement training for Action for Hearing Loss and then developing and assessing essential skills courses for Valley Kids, where she still works on a freelance basis as an internal quality assurer.

Clare has extensive knowledge and experience of assessment,  internal quality assurance systems and working with Awarding Bodies.
