Responsible Use of AI in Assessment and IQA
AI is becoming an integral part of the assessment landscape, with many practitioners already exploring how it can support assessment and quality assurance in practical ways. The challenge is knowing how to use it confidently, responsibly and within the appropriate guardrails.
This is why we are delivering our Responsible Use of AI in Assessment and IQA training session.
During this session you will:
- Explore the expectations of Qualifications Wales and Agored Cymru
- Build your understanding of AI and Generative AI, including benefits, risks and limitations
- Consider the role of assessors and IQAs in protecting authenticity, academic integrity and the value of qualifications
- Be introduced to practical tools, including the Professional Discussion Triage Process and AI Use Audit Record
- Work with an Agored Cymru unit as a practical example
- Explore the key message: AI can support practice but human judgement remains essential
- Take part in a hands-on workshop on using AI to support the design of assessment tasks
By the end of the session, you will have:
- Greater clarity
- Practical tools you can apply immediately
- Increased confidence to use AI in ways that are responsible, compliant and support high-quality assessment practice
Important:
- While AI tools will be used practically during the session, personal data and learner work must not be entered into any AI tool at any point.
This is a non-accredited course but you will receive a CPD certificate of attendance.
