Agored Cymru is pleased to invite Access to HE coordinators/managers and quality managers to attend an upcoming online Access to Higher Education (AHE) Centre Surgery.
This event will provide important updates and developments, alongside an opportunity to strengthen shared understanding of Access to HE delivery and quality assurance.
The session will cover:
General Access to HE updates:
- The new QAA AHE recognition scheme
- Changes to the learner destination data gathering process and timelines
- Changes to the required registration period for Access to HE Diplomas in Wales
The Access to HE Centre Handbook:
- To be shared with centre Access to HE leads for consultation prior to publication in September 2026
- A comprehensive guide to the Diploma as overseen by Agored Cymru, supporting enhanced understanding of assessment, quality assurance, and administrative requirements
Access to HE development:
- Proposed new AHE Diploma (Law and Criminology)
Access to HE Conference 2026
- Provisionally scheduled for 5 June at the Media Resource Centre, Llandrindod Wells
- Focused on AI, higher education partnerships, and the future of the Access to HE Diploma in Wales and beyond.
Requirements for external moderation and final awards boards
