Audience: Internal Quality Assurers (IQAs), Lead IQAs and experienced assessors progressing into IQA roles.
This 2.5 hour interactive professional development session is designed to strengthen the knowledge and practice of IQAs in line with Agored Cymru standards. Delegates will explore how to apply risk-based approaches to sampling, produce evaluative and evidence-based IQA reports, and provide developmental feedback that supports assessor improvement and consistency in assessment decisions.
Through practical activities, case studies, and discussion, participants will develop confidence in embedding observations within sampling, applying holistic quality assurance techniques, and preparing effectively for external quality assurance (EQA).
By the end of the session, participants will be able to:

- Write clear, evaluative IQA reports with evidence-based judgements and SMART actions
- Provide constructive feedback that promotes assessor development and maintains assessment standards
- Integrate assessor observations effectively within the IQA process
