The Access to HE centre forum will take place online and all Access to HE practitioners at Agored Cymru Access to HE centres are invited to attend. The forum will provide an opportunity for centres to discuss and share good practice in relation to the delivery, assessment and quality assurance of the Access to HE Diploma. In particular, the forum will review the preparation that has taken place across centres to embed the new Access to HE grading scheme. Centres will be asked to share how the new grading standards will impact on their assessment practices and internal quality assurance processes.
The use of generative artificial intelligence has become increasingly apparent in the current academic year. We are keen to hear from centres in regards to the ways it has been used to support both practitioners and learners and how it has led to any incidences of academic malpractice. We have identified good practice in the way in which some centres have addressed these issues and will be asking them to discuss the processes they have followed and how this led to fair and robust outcomes.
The forum will also provide an opportunity to discuss Agored Cymru requirements associated to investigations and the general reporting of malpractice and maladministration in relation to the Access to HE Diploma.
