As an awarding organisation, Agored Cymru is accountable for the integrity, validity and standards of our qualifications, whether or not we have delegated any aspects to a centre.
Where assessments are delivered and judgments are made by a Centre, it is important that we can be sure that the standards being applied are as accurate and consistent as possible. There must be public confidence in a learner’s result whenever or wherever the assessment is taken. It is also important that qualifications can be delivered in ways that are manageable for Centres.
This course explores methods of devising assessment tasks that provide consistently meaningful outcomes; enable the assessor to differentiate accurately and consistently between the levels of attainment demonstrated by learners; are practical for centres to deliver and motivate learners to do their best.
This is a highly participative course and is suitable for centre staff who deliver, assess or internally quality assure Agored Cymru qualifications or units .
