Kevern Kerswell

Kevern Kerswell is the Chief Executive for Agored Cymru.

Kevern joined Agored Cymru in 2015 as Assistant Director for Quality, Standards and Regulations and was appointed Chief Executive in March 2017.

Kevern’s responsibilities span a wide remit, and include leading Agored Cymru’s senior staff team in the development of policy, business planning, risk assessment and management, and the growth of strategic partnerships. He is the lead Officer for Agored Cymru’s Board of governance and ensures the promotion of the organisation and its culture and values to wider stakeholder groups, including the Welsh Government.

Prior to joining Agored Cymru Kevern worked in the Training & Development sector before moving to the University of Glamorgan where he was part of the team that developed the initial 14-19 Learning Coach qualification, which was later adapted by Agored Cymru.

More recently he was a Senior Manager at Coleg Cambria where he was responsible for leading numerous curriculum teams including Welsh for Adults, ESOL, Adult Basic Education, ICT for Adult Learners, Art and Design in the Community, Modern Foreign Languages in the Community and Counselling Skills.

Kevern has played a leadership role across three Local Authority Community Learning partnerships, and led the Wrexham partnership through transformational change, developing sector leading practice.
