Daf Baker

Daf Baker is a Curriculum Development Manager at Agored Cymru. He joined the organisation in 2006.

A highly respected educational specialist with over twenty years' experience of working with young people and their supporting workforces, Daf is primarily responsible for coordinating and managing youth engagement. He is the lead contact for Welsh Government policy makers and other stakeholders, and manages allocated project activity and the development and review of provision and resources.

In addition, Daf has led several workforce development projects including the development of youth work practice and accreditation for practitioners working in the violence against women, domestic abuse and sexual violence field. 

He has also developed workforce training frameworks bespoke to sectors and developed the personal and social education, work related education and young people’s participation qualifications.

Prior to joining the organisation, Daf worked across the statutory and voluntary sector, the primary and secondary education sector, local government, the youth service and health promotion organisations. 

Daf has led strongly on the rights of children and young people and was the Chair of the National Learning Group for the Participation Consortium for Wales. He also represents FAB Wales for youth work and is a member of ETS Wales, the national quality standards and endorsement body. He has chaired the ETS Wales Quality Mark panel for youth work and is involved in further developing the National Quality for Youth Work.

Daf is an applied psychology graduate, has an MSc in Substance Abuse, is a qualified tutor and professional status youth worker.
